Barista cum Bartender - Buttery

• Barista Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty coffee drinks

Operate and maintain espresso machines and coffee brewing equipment

Ensure coffee beans are properly stored and ground

Create latte art and visually appealing presentations

Manage the coffee station during morning and afternoon shifts

Bartender Duties

Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes

Create signature cocktails unique to Buttery

Maintain bar inventory and recommend ordering supplies

Ensure proper presentation of all drinks

Set up and maintain bar area during evening service

General Duties

Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor

Process payments accurately and efficiently

Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout shifts

Follow food safety and hygiene standards

Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

Support other team members during busy periods

Suggest menu improvements and seasonal offerings

Build rapport with regular customers

Minimum 1 year experience as a barista

Minimum 1 year experience as a bartender

Knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles

Understanding of cocktail techniques and mixology principles

Proven customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and presentation

Good communication and teamwork skills

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods

Basic math skills for cash handling and measuring

Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts

Responsible service of alcohol certification (preferred)

Barista certification (preferred)
