JOB SUMMARY
Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Order items, including filling out requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and using appropriate vendors. Communicate with customers when necessary to resolve maintenance issues. Coordinate with other employees and departments using telecommunications devices in order to respond to requests and resolve maintenance issues. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor/ Director of Engineering.
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS
• Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings.
• Interact with Engineering Staff, and communicate effectively with peers and superiors.
• Coordinate Hotel Engineering purchases.
• Maintain purchase orders log and file purchase orders upon payment, ensuring that orders match packing slips.
• Set-up and maintain storeroom effectively.
• Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to Director of Engineering/Supervisor.
• Coordinate with other departments using telecommunications devices in order to respond to requests and resolve maintenance issues.
• All work to be carried out thoroughly, professionally and safely.

• High School Certificate plus two years technical training
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No Supervisory experience is required
