Mô tả công việc

  • GENERAL MISSION
  • - To ensure the smooth-running operation of the commercial section in consultation with the Director of Sales & Marketing on all matters.
  • - The performance of the Sales Manager will be determined solely by the productivities of the corporate section as well as the overall results of the hotel.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS
  • The Sales manager performs his/her duties within the framework defined by the chain and hotel norms and by internal regulations as specified by the Director of Sales & Marketing. The Sales Manager will also be responsible to the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Corporate Section and all Sales Personnel within the section.
  • SALES RESPONSIBILITIES
  • - Represents the hotel in the development of market segment(s) and new client relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts while consistently striving to maximize revenue in rooms, public space, food and beverage and ancillary products and services.
  • - Represent hotel by soliciting, responding to and negotiating with persons requiring large and complex group accommodations) with or without meeting space and/or on-site (hotel) catering, based upon market segment and account files assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • - Represent hotel in significant interactions dealing with clients relative to sales and operational questions, concerns, and issues. Negotiate contracts with clients and commission agreements with third party agencies
  • - Initiate the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective clients primarily of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting space and/or banquet date, space and rate availability. Develop and quote prices for same
  • - Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain clients in local and assigned markets (percentage of travel dependent on specific market). Direct site visits and H.O.S.T. programs for respective accounts and participates in tradeshows, industry and client events.
  • - Attend weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group-pick up, etc.
  • - Conduct site inspections with potential clients, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities
  • PUBLIC RELATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
  • - The Sales Manager organizes meetings with professional people especially clients & people in a position to publicize the hotel.
  • DIRECT LIAISONS
  • - The Sales Manager is responsible to the Director of Sales/ Director of Sales & Marketing
  • FUNCTIONAL LIAISONS
  • - The Sales Manager maintains contacts with all the other departments of the hotel and may have contact with managements at the regional level.
  • - The Sales Manager maintains and ensures the smooth-running operation of the Commercial Section.
  • REPLACEMENT AND TEMPORARY MISSION
  • - In his/her absence, the Sales Manager may be replaced first by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • DIVULGING OF COMPANY INFORMATION
  • - The Sales Manager is requested he/she will not (either during or after his/her employment) without the company’s written consent, divulge any information concerning the hotel or any of its dealings, transactions or affairs which may come to his/her knowledge during or in the course of his/her employment with the company.

Yêu cầu công việc

- Minimum two years of experience in the same position in an internationally branded 5-star hotel

- Local market knowledge preferred

- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Experience managing to brand standards

- Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork

- General knowledge of contract laws

- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite

- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
