Job Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Manager runs the Housekeeping Department in accordance with the policies, standards and guidelines established by the Management. Its principal role is the maintenance of cleanliness, orderliness and general appearance of the hotel, ensuring that the property provides well-furnished and maintained guestrooms and public area and that all guests receive high level of housekeeping services.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily housekeeping activities of the hotel and co-ordinate such activities through a team of junior housekeepers.
  • Promote the hotel’s quality service standards and ensure that the hotel provides its guests with excellent housekeeping services such clean linen and laundry services besides cleanliness of hotel and its facilities.
  • Review the operational procedures of housekeeping activities in the hotel with the intent of improving efficiency of housekeeping staff and cost reduction for the department through savings from manpower, amenities, etc.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping equipment are kept in good working conditions and that they are serviced in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations thereby protecting their long-term investment value.
  • Ensure that the department is efficiently run by the team of Housekeeping staff, distribute assignment accordingly and roster Associates for duties taking into account hotel occupancy and local employment regulation.
  • Supervise housekeeping supervisory staff and ensure that they carry out their duties diligently so as to deliver a high level of service standard which are in line with performance standards established by the hotel.
  • Liaise with room cleaning contractor to monitor Room and Public Area Attendants and their cleaning standards
  • Maintain a Lost & Found department and is responsible for all lost-and-found items. Determine the rightful owner and mails to appropriate address.
  • Ensure well-furnished and maintained guestrooms and and public space areas.
  • Ensure excellence in housekeeping sanitation, safety, comfort, and aesthetics to support guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee coordination and administer all housekeeping programs and projects, including renovation
  • Oversee the operations of the laundry department, ensuring that there is a healthy inventory of linen and Associate uniform and that the turnaround of laundry is smooth and efficient for the operations.
Other Responsibilities

  • Supports the Mission, Purpose and Values of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
  • Complies with all relevant Workplace Safety & Health practices and maintains a safe workplace for all associates.
  • Adheres to grooming and hygiene standards set by the Hotel.
  • Exercises responsible behaviour at all times to uphold the image and reputation of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Hotel and department.
  • Ensures that the Hotel’s properties and facilities are protected and are kept in good working condition. Reports any loss or damage to the Hotel’s properties and facilities promptly and appropriately.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
