Job Responsibilities
The Manager, People & Culture supports the full spectrum of human capital and development functions which include but not limit to Recruitment, Employee Relations, HR Projects, Learning & Development. He/She will promote human resource values by planning, managing and directing relevant human resource programs in PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Hanoi.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage workforce diversity with the General Manager and the Heads of Department.
- Assist with the preparation of the hotel’s annual manpower budget in consultation with head of department and submit it to management for approval. In preparing the manpower budget, the incumbent works closely with the department managers in arriving at the appropriate manpower strength for each department paying attention to issues like manpower cost, productivity, etc.
- Responsible for the hotel recruitment program, which will include activities such as advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and employment offers.
- Maintain a register of all position descriptions in the hotel in the prescribed formats and to update them on a regular basis so that they are relevant and reflective of the actual duties expected of these positions.
- Support Learning & Development function whenever necessary, when required, the incumbent also performs the duties of a trainer.
- Co-ordinate performance management activities of hotel’s associates and provide feedback to management regarding high potential talent, common training needs, promotion prospects, etc.
- Oversee the hotel’s recreational and sports activities including the associate cafeteria and ensures that associate welfare and interest are addressed. The incumbent sit on such committees and plays an active role.
- Stay updated of the market’s compensation and benefit practices and provide feedback to management when changes are needed so that the hotel can remain competitive with its identified competitors.
- Participates in compensation and benefits survey whenever required
- Assist with the performance review of department staff and provide honest feedback on their respective performance, the aim being to guide and improve performance where there is shortfall in performance and reinforce and performance if performance has reached an acceptable level of competency.
- Ensures active implementation and adherence to Corporate Branding and Brand Standards.
- Understands role as Brand Standards mentor and continues to develop and strive to deliver higher service standards than guest expectations.
Other Responsibilities
- Supports the Mission, Purpose and Values of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
- Complies with all relevant Workplace Safety & Health practices and maintains a safe workplace for all associates.
- Adheres to grooming and hygiene standards set by the Hotel.
- Exercises responsible behaviour at all times to uphold the image and reputation of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Hotel and department.
- Ensures that the Hotel’s properties and facilities are protected and are kept in good working condition. Reports any loss or damage to the Hotel’s properties and facilities promptly and appropriately.
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Minimum with 5 years of Human Resources experience in hotels/resorts.
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Strong knowledge of local labour laws, labour relations and employment practices.
- A mature, self-driven individual with a passion for people development.
- Possess positive attitude and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Attention to details on the deliverables and being meticulous.
- Proficient in MS Office applications
