Finance Manager

POSITION STATEMENT

The Finance Manager is accountable for the hotel in respect of understanding and driving financial performance and is responsible to perform all finance activities within the policy, regulatory and contractual framework.

CORE COMPETENCIES / ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Finance Manager, you will ensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, and creditor/ accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to the Finance department. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:• Ensure that Finance teams are providing month end closing and all other required management reports;

• Have a good understanding of the Hotel’s emergency procedures, Hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation and ensure implementation of those related to your department

• Assist the Director of Finance by providing full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel and in other areas where required;

• Provide timely and accurate financial statements, ensure reconciliations are performed;

• Assist Director of Finance with setting departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures;

• Allocate work duties to Finance Team Members;

• Train and develop the local Finance Team Members and ensure succession plans are in place

• Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management
