- Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the Hotel which are aligned with Brand’s overall mission, vision values and strategies
- Develops and implements sales strategies that support achievement of the Hotel’s financial goals
- Monitors hotel performance and forecast regularly and adjusts strategies as required-
- Develops the annual sales budget in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing and in line with Corporate Budget Instructions
- Achieves market share and revenue goals by working with the Director of Sales and Marketing on individual and team goals within assigned market segments
- Implementation of revenue generation strategies designed to maximise revenue and yield.
- Maintains a high level of awareness of hotel competitor set performance and local market opportunities
- Creates and implements marketing strategies which are designed to increase awareness in the local market.
- Leverages all brand marketing support opportunities
- Develops data and recommends programs to meet clients' needs
- Prepares proposals and contracts that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying client needs
- Uses outside sales calls, prospecting, hotels tours and hosting of clients to solicit new business
- Ensure all materials used are in accordance with brand standards
- Reviews individual and team goals on a weekly basis; recommends and takes appropriate actions to achieve objectives in key result areas
- Ensures communication response to clients within 24-hours of receipt of request.-
- Maximises productivity by ensuring that sold business is aligned with the Hotel’s revenue optimization strategies
- Review of all business opportunities to ensure profitability levels are acceptable
- Designs and proposes programs which meet customer needs and drive demand
- Develops and implements annual sales goals which are aligned with the hotel’s overall revenue goal
- Implements function space allocation for group and catering bookings
- Monitors productivity and revenue goals for each sales team member by tracking results
- Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
- Recruits and selects qualified candidates
- Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
- Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
- Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
- Drives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans-
- Acts as lead and back-up to Director of Sales and Marketing
- Works closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the team in his/her absence
- Develop key leadership skills by working with Director of Sales and Marketing, attending classes and working with other executive committee members
- Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
- Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures
- Keeps immediate Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and the manager.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintain a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment.
- At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel to the public.
- Assist in the development of the Hotel business plan and ensure an overall understanding of its departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensures thorough understanding of all Brand Sales and Marketing programs
- Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Sales and Marketing
- Attends work on time as scheduled.
- Follows safety and security rules and procedures

Yêu cầu công việc
Minimum three - five years hotel sales experience
Minimum one - two years supervisory experience preferred
Local market knowledge preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience managing to brand standards
Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
General knowledge of contract laws
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to travel
