Laundry Attendant

1. Sort out all items received for laundry/dry cleaning according to material types and classification instructions.

2. Apply techniques of stain removal with proper chemicals before washing.

3. Follow the instructions strictly and take special precautions on delicate guest laundries.

4. Operate laundry machines (flat wok, washer, dryer, dry cleaning machine, spotting board, etc.) as per operating instructions and when required.

5. Iron guests’ items, uniform, linen laundry to the highest standards.

6. Assist in the collection and delivery of guest laundries.

7. Clean up the equipment and working station after operations. Switch off water and power switch when needed.

8. Ensure chemicals or washing detergents are properly used with minimum wastage.

9. Provide support to other sections such as Linen, Rooms and Public Area and other departments.

10. Hand over work related matters to next shift attendants to follow up.

11. Provide high standard laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing service for guests and hotel linen/uniform.

12. Report to shift leader on any issues related to laundry for immediate actions.

13. Perform any other duties assigned by Laundry Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. At least one year experience as a Laundry Attendant in upscale hotels and/or resorts or equivalent.

2. High School Diploma in General Education or Vocational Training Diploma in related discipline preferred.

3. Team player.

4. Passion for service excellence.
