• Implements all sales action plans related to his / her market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.

• Promotes and produces sales leads for other IHG hotels.

• Arranges familiarization /conducts venue inspections with the organizers or external contractors for bookers, prospect clients and client planning meeting or event setup

• Ensures rate quoted and committed to clients are within specified guidelines. Replies to enquiries within 24 hours.

• Establishes and maintains files on major active accounts within his / her market area.

• Plans sales trips and Prepares sales call plan under the direct approval of Director of Sales & Marketing to major market areas, calling on accounts within his / her specific market areas. Reports to DOSM on potential markets needing coverage.

• Provides feedback to the DOSM on changing market conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone calls in his / her market areas.

• Works directly with the organizers on their event programs and requirements in order to provide professional advice to facilitate and assist on their planning

• Provides menu recommendations or custom menu design to offer service flexibility as well as the drive upselling

• Coordinates for tasting arrangement for the organizers on high profile or special events prior to the event days to meet customer expectations

• Coordinates on audio visual, floral arrangements and other event requirements with hotel operating teams

• Works independently with external vendors to coordinate on special event arrangement, such as venue theme decoration, entertainment arrangement, etc

• Reviews rooming list or reservations deadlines with the organizers to deliver accurate group forecasts and distributes new and revised rooming lists to reservations for room bookings and confirmations

• Issues external Banquet Event Order to organizer for each event to confirm all final event details and billing arrangement. Coordinates on VIP guests arrangement and transportation arrangement if required. Reviews and confirms group billing arrangement with the organizers prior to the events

• Provides accurate and timely events information to internal departments through Group Resume and Banquet Event Order to ensure all clients’ requests will be properly executed and delivered

• Attends internal Events standard meetings or external business meetings as required

• Engages post event conversation with organizers to solicit qualitative feedback

• Actively shares clients’ feedbacks or comments on operations and services with the events management team as well as the hotel’s senior management

• Maintains an effective communication and cohesive working relationships with Sales & Marketing team, F&B and other operating departments of the hotel

• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

• Reliever for other Sales and Events Managers assigned to other areas, as needed.

• Qualifications
• Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience
• 1-year related experience or 6 months experience in sales/event/reservations/front office or an equivalent combination of education and experience
