JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE : EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
DEPARTMENT : Housekeeping
REPORTS TO : General Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Responsible for the efficient day to day running of the Housekeeping department. Direct supervision of all staff.
2. Responsible for the efficient and cost effective roster of the Housekeeping staff.
3. Ensure adequate supplies of chemicals, replacement stock, stationery and guest supplies are on hand.
4. Responsible for the high standard of cleanliness of the entire hotel. This includes guest room, food and beverage outlets and all public areas of the Hotel.
5. Responsible for the condition and maintenance of guest rooms and other areas of the Hotel. Report any major damage and repairs required to GM.
6. Responsible for the training of new HSK staff, and the on-going training of all staff for their development.
7. To maintain proper records and storage of “Lost Property” items of the Hotel.
8. To control the dispatch and return of laundry (Guest, staff, ...).
9. To check and approve HSK staff’s time sheets. To submit to Accounts Department on due date for payroll preparation.
10. To ensure all special room requirements, all expressions from Hotel Management are prepared accordingly.
11. To be in close communication with Reception Desk for release of serviced room and special room allocation etc.
12. To liaise with Front Office Manager and Maintenance Manager to facilitate a high standard of service to Hotel patrons.
13. To liaise with General Manager and other H.O.D regarding “Spring Cleaning” or other major cleaning projects in the Hotel.
14. To be responsible for the availability and efficacy of pest control program.
15. To report any potential health safety and security hazards to General Manager.
16. To maintain an efficient, well presented and enthusiasm team who enjoy their work, are self motivated and care for the guest. Objectives should be to offer a standard of service that is consistent, professional, reliable and friendly.
17. To ensure that guest relation is maintained at the highest possible standard. This personalized service is to be extended when dealing with complaints.
18. In case of emergency, to ensure safety and security procedures are adhered to.
19. To assist the GM and the Senior Accountant on the preparation of HSK budget and monitor closely the cost line.
20. To always ensure master keys are insured to right people according to Security procedures.
