Position Description:
- Be responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel
- Develops strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.
- Identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommend tools and sales training to optimize performance of sales team
- Work with individual hotel teams to identify skill development areas and properly deploy sales and marketing resources.
Roles and responsibility:
- Deeply understand and be familiar with the hotel products (room types, room rates, lodging, catering, and other facilities);
- Successfully promote and manage the brand name of the Hotel;
- Maintain and promote a team work environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid negotiations to existing and prospective customers;
- Responsible for OTA, Corporate and Travel Agent room sales;
- Conduct daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients;
- Maintain and strengthen business relationships with the existing customers, create networking and develop professional cooperation with the new prospective customers as well as the partners and agencies;
- Participate in sales calls with member of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
- Provide quick and timely responses with the highest quality of service standards to the guests at all times;
- Survey and identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales;
- Design and advertise special group rates and packages to increase larger bookings;
- Update and report the sales strategy and sales plan with GM
- Coordinate with the Marketing team for updating website, advertising, digital marketing and promotions;
- Execute and support the operational aspects (e.g. correspondences, brochures, booking confirmation, proposals, contracts, Corporate rate application);
- Confer with customers and Hotel department heads to plan function details, such as space requirements, publicity, time schedule, food service, and decorations;
- Supply management team with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services;
- Plan, set and achieve sales targets;
- Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly
- Update guests’ database and send the report to GM weekly
- Responsible for training and cross training for all sales team and hotel staff
- Oversee and ensure the updated rates, promotion on hotel website, OTA’s, GDS, ect, without any rate disparity
- Attend all department or hotel meetings as necessary
- Participate in training programs, improve professional qualifications when hotel facilitates

Education requirements: At least College graduate
Experience requirements: at least 5 years as a salesman (-woman)

- Possess a pleasant personality and a professional working manner
- Work and deal well with people
- Have fantastic presentation skills
- Be an excellent negotiator
- Have exceptional communication skills
- Use social media & current technology for the benefit of the hospitality and promotion of the Hotel’s brand awareness
- Think creatively to come up with exciting new campaigns
