TOBJECTIVE
• Perform professional massage therapy, facial and body treatments.
• Provide uncompromised attention to guests.
• Sell retail products
MAIN DUTIES
Administration
• Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
• Maintain inventory of supplies for the operations of the treatment rooms.
• Maintain accurate as required by provincial regulations.
• Attend weekly/monthly Spa departmental communication meetings.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform treatments to clients maintaining the clients comfort at all times.
• Performing all treatments, according to protocol of script training.
• Be on time for appointments / shift and thoroughly review appointments after completing each treatment.
• Keep working area clean and neat at all times.
• Maintain the stocks of clean linen and return the dirty linen to laundry by end of the day.
• Maintain the stock and supply of massage oils, alcohol, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the treatment room area. Preparation of kits as required/needed.
• The ability to courteously interact and answer all facility related questions with guests.
• Assist in the co ordination of Spa treatments with other spa programmes.
• Maintain current professional licenses.
• Report dysfunctional equipment to Spa Cordinator / SPA Manager.
• Work with the Therapist Supervisor in the formulation of plans for projects and other areas.
• Ensure individual is well versed in all aspects of the Spa's operations i.e. Business telephone usage, Guest relations, Spa services (massage, scrub, facial, etc.), retail sales ...
• Assist in the operations of all spa departments as required including spa facilities.
Training and Human Resources Management
• Be understanding hotel regulation and master all knowledge in Staff manual
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Responsible for understanding all Spa departments training in pertinent emergency procedures and follow strictly treatment protocols.
Education:
• Graduate from an accredited school of massage with a massage license
Guest Service Responsibilities
• Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness).
• Ensure guest satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the Spa's first priority.
• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner with smiley facial expression.
Miscellaneous
• All ambassadors are required to comply with every reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances.
• All ambassadors may be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required by business levels.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Health and Safety
• Ensure that all potential and real Hazards are reported immediately and rectified
• Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures
• Ensure that all emergency procedures are rehearsed, implemented and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
• Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises by fairly applying Hotel Regulations by strict adherence to existing laws, statutes etc.
• Ensure all staff within the department work in a manner which is safe and unlikely to give risk of harm or injury to selves or others
To be fully conversant with:
• Hotel fire procedures
• Hotel security procedures
• Hotel Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Hotel Facilities and attractions
• Hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures
• Sofitel Keys of Luxury and Appearance guidelines
• Sofitel “BE Magnifique” vision and its corresponding strategies
• Methods of accepted payment of the company
• Short and long term company marketing promotions
