Responsible for the daily operation of the Restaurant. Ensure standards are achieved and procedures maintained. Maximize profitability while achieving a high standard of service and level of guest satisfaction.
The Assistant Manager will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.
Assume full responsibility for the outlet.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Co-ordination of all aspects of the departments operation to ensure that the services of the Department are delivered to guests or internal customers with the aim of exceeding guest expectations and in accordance with Sheraton’s standards and procedures.
2. Responsible for the day-to-day management of associates working in the Department.
3. Analyze and respond to guest feedback, guest satisfaction and associate satisfaction information; and give a positive commitment to continuous improvement of product and performance.
4. Implement promotions, strategies and special events.
5. Coordinate the upkeep and cleanliness of the outlet by liaising with Housekeeping and Engineering.
6. Ensure lighting and music is at the correct level at all times.
7. Ensure all furniture and fittings, operating equipment and outlet decor are maintained and clean at all times.
8. Requisition all items necessary for restaurant operation including food, beverage and general items insuring they do not exceed set par levels.
9. Liaise with Chef and Asst Manager, Food & Beverage/ Asst Director, Food & Beverage to ensure the highest food standard is achieved. Co-ordinate the operation of the department to maximize covers and revenue.
10. Conduct pre-service briefings and de-briefings with staff highlighting any:
• V.I.P’s in house
• Group movements
• Promotional activity
• Guest feed back
• Shift de-briefs
• Service improvement points.
11. To maintain personal grooming and presentation standards to a level which is appropriate for the image of our hotel.
12. Prepare working schedules and ensure annual leave is within budget, business expectations and Labor Law guidelines.
13. In conjunction with Human Resources and the Asst Manager, Food & Beverage/ Director, Asst Food & Beverage to assist with effective recruitment, training and development, certification, performance evaluation, turnover reduction and optimization of productivity through efficient work practices and staff rostering.
14. Develop and implement strategies to minimize absenteeism and to manage occupational health & safety issues.
15. Maintain all equipment within the outlet, e.g. linen, china, glass, electrical equipment.
In conjunction with the Asst Manager, Food & Beverage/ Asst Director, Food & Beverage prepare and achieve outlooks, budgets and manpower forecasts.
16. Check all stock, requisitions and equipment daily.
17. Attend meetings, report on activities, and represent the Department as required.
18. Document and update Departmental Standards & Procedures.
19. Control procedures to minimize errors, fraud and wastage.
20. Prepare daily briefings, so all staff are aware of Hotel activities.
21. Liaise with Front Office, Catering and Convention staff to ensure all are aware of business levels.
22. Assist the Asst Manager, Food & Beverage/ Asst Director, Food & Beverage in the recruitment and selection of staff.
23. Ensure and understand the correct procedures for handling intoxicated and underage guests.
24. Uphold the Marriott culture by demonstrating the Marriott Standards at all times to guests and fellow associates.
25. Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety rules and related Sheraton and Marriott Policies.
26. Align management style, working practices and conduct with Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel’s Vision, Corporate Values and policies. To comply with Sheraton’s Code of Conduct at all times.
27. Be well versed and knowledgeable of Sheraton Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace. Ensure employees are aware of their duty of care as determined by legislation and that they maintain complete familiarity.

Yêu cầu công việc
- At least 1-2 year experience at similar position
- Good bartending skills and beverage knowledge
- Good English
- Able to work in shifts (including late shift)
