❖ To provide technical assistance to internal or external Audit associate. ❖ To ensure accuracy and computer audit trail of daily and monthly financial report. ❖ Ensure the effective preventive maintenance of all system resources. ❖ Coordinate the timely repair of all faulty system resources. ❖ Develop a back-up system support mechanism that can be activated in event of personnel change. ❖ Establish and maintain procedures to ensure the backup and restoration of all systems. ❖ Coordinate data recovery and emergency procedures in the event of system failure. ❖ Enforce security procedures for the timely revision of user access right and passwords for both the Opera PMS and PC Network system. ❖ Keep the Hotel Management System software up to the current release as instructed by our corporate office. ❖ Advise hotel management on existing and future systems begin developed / implemented. ❖ Coordinate the investigation and timely handling of software fault report or enhancement requests. ❖ Assist departmental trainers in preparing training material on the effective use of systems in Sol By Melia ❖ Supervise Information Systems associate. ❖ Document all system activities which may include: Departmental Objective; Backup Logs; System Interruption Logs; Maintenance Logs; Data Change Logs. ❖ Provide management reporting in the form of: Status Report, PMS Report; Accounting System Report and Computer Budget. ❖ Develop capital budget for all computer hardware and software purchases. ❖ PC and wide area networking support. ❖ Setup and maintenance of all corporate systems as used by the hotel ❖ Assist in coordination of support for other technology systems. ❖ To provide manuals on the use of any Information Systems and incorporate those manuals into the relevant operating procedures of the hotel ❖ To arrange the distribution of Night Audit and other regularly system-produced reports. ❖ To prepare and maintain documentation on all hotel software applications. ❖ To maintain an inventory listing of all computer hardware in the hotels including PMS hardware, PC’s and printers. ❖ To assist all departments to train their associates in the effective use of any Information Systems. ❖ To assist in the building of an efficient team of associates by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development. ❖ Ensures cleanliness of all data equipment and computer rooms. ❖ Prepare Policy & Procedures for the IT Department and for the user department. ❖ Managing Disaster Recovery Process and ensuring regular daily backup is taken. ❖ Anti-virus setup and day to day support. ❖ Plan, assign and take the report from the IT team. ❖ Responsible to ensure that IT Audit points are implemented as per relevant Standard operating Procedures. ❖ Monitors and maintains proper inventory of hardware and software license. ❖ Is aware of IT Security Policies and ensures implementation through regular staff training. ❖ Keep updated with latest hotel technology and security risks on a regular basis. ❖ Able to perform other IT or Systems related task assigned by the management.
