- Duty and responsibilities: · Produce the Annual Revenue Plan, Marketing Budgets and Forecasts · Produce Action Plan related to the Revenue Plan to ensure Revenue Plan objectives are achieved · Provides a professional, advisory support service to the General Manager · Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, etc. - Create and implement special programs to achieve greater profitability through: · Increasing average rate · Increasing overall occupancy · Increasing business volume during off-peak periods · Increasing local Food & Beverage and Banquet Sales · Enhance the image of the hotel in the local community · Participate as an active member of the community: associations, memberships and other trade organizations · Review regularly activity reports of Sales personnel to ensure targets and Sales objectives are being met · Organize and promote, in cooperation with the Food & Beverage Department special projects to stimulate Food & beverage sales within the community, including, but limited to, tournaments, balls, parties, gastronomic festivities, etc. · Interacts with individuals outside the hotel, including, but not limited to clients, Convention Bureaus, local Hotel Associations, Government Tourist offices, Airlines, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, competitors and other members of the local community - Investigate potential markets by: · Reviewing Sales Department and Front Office correspondence files · Analyzing guest history and registration card files · Studying guest questionnaires · Reviewing government statistics on visitors to the city · Analyzing competition's sales/promotion efforts · Studying various reference and industry publications for sales leads · Recommend to General Manager the kind of advertising which will be most productive for the hotel by analyzing the market effectiveness of past advertising campaigns and consulting with other Department Heads and the Advertising Agency · Procure new and repeat business for the hotel by maintaining contact with Airlines, Travel Agencies, Commercial Houses, Private Clubs and Professional Associations within the community and neighboring markets · Review regularly the PR activities to ensure high awareness of the hotel in the local and national media · Manage the development of new products and services · Oversee the development of new marketing strategies · Conduct market research · Works with Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs · Works with Director of Finance in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget · Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.

Sales Responsibilities: • To carry out and implement the sales & marketing philosophy in accordance with the hotel’s marketing plan and department budget. • Plan sales coverage of all market segments according to a short-term and long-term plan for director of sales. All market has to have plan and action with due dates. • Establish goals for all sales personnel and give guidance on how these goals can be achieved. • Evaluate new markets and their needs comparing these with our product and service. • Do visibilities study to develop new feeder markets. • To know our product in intimate details and be aware of our strengths and weaknesses. Set program to overcome weaknesses and maximize on our strengths. • To implement sales and marketing LSOPs. • Work with qualified personnel within other departments to continuously improve salesmanship and/ or creativity. • To report to general manager progress of sales efforts, results of sales programs, customer feedback, and information relative to sales office personnel and general development in the hotel. • Counsel all sales personnel on a scheduled program of monthly meetings. Be the sales leaders, control restrictions, monitor yield and work with revenue management manager to ensure maximum revenue is achieved. • Complete all forecast, marketing reports on a timely basis. • Communicate daily with all sales personnel on work to be done with present and future projects. • To head the smooth running of the reservations departments. • Hold daily sales and marketing briefing. • Supervises the market organization’s meeting and exceeding sales goals and meeting the operational budget guidelines. • Manages, develops and staffs market account management organization. • Liaise between hotels and sales team, focus on two-way communication to ensure revenue goals are attained. • To market the hotel and all its outlets and sales points, to lead and direct the sales effort and react on trends, so that the highest profitability can be reached. • To perform other duties as assigned by General Manager Marketing responsibilities: • Have knowledge of other departments with emphasis on food and beverage, front office and accounting. To make sure that all department adhere to the overall communication message. • To handle the hotel advertising campaigns and knows details concerning consumer, trade and media publications. Be aware of changing trends and have plans and action in place to react and/or counteract these changes. • To develop the hotel marketing plan and up-date whenever necessary. Make sure that the team is involved in market research and that they understand marketing plan. • To develop a close working relationship with key accounts of the hotel. Be ready to call on any customers when needed. • To maintain an effective communications line within the department and with other department s and management. • To supervise the hotel’s PR program and make sure that PR programs have plans and action and that they are implemented. • Handle all printing in accordance with the company specifications. • Be the trainer in the department ensure that all personal has needed training. • Develops strategy for market organization. • Coordinates staffing, development, training of market leadership. • Ensures the market organization meets customer satisfaction goals. Revenue management responsibilities: • Lead the revenue management functions of the hotel by identifying and determining selling strategies to maximize room revenue. Analyze situations and statistics to gauge demand, pricing and recommend appropriate strategies. • Communicate these strategies to the sales team and other key departments in a timely fashion. • Establish and maintain rational pricing strategies for transient, wholesale and group segments. • Set and monitor group ceilings and target rates. • Identify future revenue opportunities for the property sales team e.g. source markets trends, seasonal specials, process changes, and communicate strategies and recommendations. • Develop and execute the hotel’s strategic plan and budget in conjunction with the sales strategy team members. Technical Skill Requirements: • Strong knowledge of transient, group and event segments. • Excellent understanding of revenue management concepts, processes and systems. • Presents ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized manner. • Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up. • Understands how to evaluate business trends and modify strategies to improve revenue opportunities. • Manage group and interpersonal conflict situations effectively. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Excellent understanding of, and skills to develop market analysis, pricing analysis, and inventory management systems. • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, enthusiasm
